Frequently asked questions

Is there a French-speaking paediatrician at Aneeja?
Yes. Dr Nathalie Sekretev, listed as a medical adviser by the French Embassy in Accra, practises general medicine and paediatrics in French and English, alongside our wider paediatric team.
Do you give childhood vaccinations?
Yes. We provide routine childhood immunisations on the national schedule, as well as travel vaccines for families moving between Ghana, France and beyond. Bring your child's vaccination record if you have one.
Can my child be admitted overnight if needed?
Yes. We have children's wards, including a VIP option, so a parent can stay close while your child is treated and observed by our nursing team.
What should I do if my child is unwell at night?
Our emergency department sees children 24 hours a day. For a high fever, breathing difficulty, dehydration or a worrying change, come straight in or call +233 30 241 1491.
Do you see newborns and premature babies?
We provide newborn checks and well-baby care, and stabilise unwell newborns. Babies needing intensive neonatal care are referred to a partner unit when appropriate, after stabilisation.
Can I register my child as a new patient in French?
Absolutely. Reception and our paediatric team can register and care for your family entirely in French or English, whichever you prefer.
